Swallowing the Hook

Hello again Boatbloggers®, and welcome once again to what is most likely our final Boatblog@.

Yes dear reader, we have decided to “Swallow the hook,” as us sailors call it, and become landlubbers once again.

And so we have sold the good ship Domini.

It is said that the two best days of a sailors life are:- first the day he buys a boat, and second the day he sells it. This is not true for us. We have had many, many amazing days in between and we are sorry to be saying goodbye.

To remind us all what a fantastic boat she is, here are some photos…

Fair winds Domini.

Thank you all for following us for the last twelve years.

Land Ahoy!

  1. I have loved following your adventures around the world – you have had a blast and it has been fabulous to see parts of the world I doubt I will ever get to through your eyes.Welcome home, may your next chapter be filled with much land based excitement xx

  2. Aah Lyn, she looks beautiful. She served you well, your stories were fascinating to a ‘landlubber’ as you call us. I always felt you were both very brave taking on the high seas as you did. What marvellous memories you guys must have. Sorry to hear we will have no more adventures to read of!!!!

  3. Hi Julian and Lyn,

We are sorry to hear its your last blog and have enjoyed reading about your adventures. We’re also sorry to hear that Domini has been sold. (Of course we know she was just a Catamaran and not a propper yacht, but we still have very fond memories of her and know she will be missed 🙂

The best news is that you are still with us and we hope we can get together with you both soon.
